Side effect: you may forget how to swallow (2024)
analog film, shot on a Krasnogorsk-3 analog camera using 16mm film, developed manually.
2’33
A mockumentary film examining trust in technology and the exploitative impact of algorithms on the human body. Set in the 1960s, it depicts an experimental project by the fictional Kontemporary Art Center (KAC). KAC developed a psycho-receptor interface designed to predict artwork valuations by connecting electrodes to subjects' heads. Subjects consumed miniature edible art models, enabling precise value predictions but risking severe side effects, such as swallowing muscle atrophy. The project was ultimately abandoned due to ethical concerns and unintended consequences.
